The wildlife of North America includes many animals and plants that are unique to North America. Wildlife consists of animals٫ fungi, plants, and protistans. The climate is generally temperate, with colder variants in the north and wamer, even subtropical in the south. Local animals and plants have adapted to fit their region. Northern regions host more mammals while the southern regions tend to have more reptiles, insects, and amphibians.
