Wilson Joel, popularly known as musicmagnate is a Nigerian-born music producer, music director, audio engineer and songwriter. He is a multi-genre musician known for various gospel hits such as Alagbara written and produced for Onos Ariyo and also Miracle Worker for artist Gloria Briamah.[1] He was conferred with an honorary doctorate of philosophy in music in October 2019 by the Escae University in Benin Republic, Cotonou (ESCAE).[2] [3]

Career highlights[edit]

In 2006 he moved to Johannesburg, South Africa where he recorded the late Lulu Dikana under Universal Music Group. The album which was a hit became a highlight in Wilson Joel's career in South Africa. He moved back to Nigeria in 2011 where he has since become a pioneer in the music industry with various genre and projects including The Experience (gospel concert) hosted by his home church House On The Rock (Church), where he voluntarily serves as the music director [10]
