Windows Hello
Windows Hello is a secure login system for the Windows 10 operating system by Microsoft which uses fingerprint, biometric or facial recognition technology to uniquely identify a user.[1] Similar to Touch ID and Face ID developed by Apple for its iOS products, Windows Hello is more secure than traditional passwords or PIN codes as it relies on technology that is more difficult to break.[2]
In December 2017, it was reported that due to a security exploit on older versions of Windows 10, researchers were able to defeat Windows Hello using a printed picture.[3]
