Muhammad Wisra Okarianto (born 13 October 1971) is an Indonesian Islamic judge and civil servant. He served as administrator at Bengkalis Regency Regional Secretariat. He is the grandson of ulama Zakaria bin Muhammad Amin and the great-grandson of ulama Tuan Guru Haji Ahmad.
Early life[edit]
Muhammad Wisra Okarianto was born in Bengkalis, Riau.[1] His mother, Zaharah Zakaria (1942–2007), was a politician and daughter of ulama Zakaria bin Muhammad Amin and his first wife, Mariah binti Ahmad.[2] Mariah's father, Tuan Guru Haji Ahmad, was also an ulama who was the first to establish an Islamic-based educational institution in Bengkalis.[3] His maternal uncle, Gamal Abdul Nasir Zakaria, is a lecturer at Universiti Brunei Darussalam, and his maternal aunt, Rita Puspa Zakaria, is a civil servant who served as Vice Director of the Bengkalis Regional General Hospital.[4] Wisra completed his high school education in 1990.[1]
Career[edit]
Wisra started his career as a civil servant at the Bengkalis Regency Regional Secretariat Office on 1 April 2011. He received a promotion four years later to the finance sector.[1] On 23 November 2020, he along with 81 others was appointed as council and panel of judges for the 45th Musabaqah Tilawatil Quran on Bengkalis Regency level.[5] On 21 March 2023, Wisra and his team broke a record as the fastest team in Riau, sending four files regarding the Implementation of Regional Government to the Governor of Riau, Firdaus.[6] The Bengkalis Regional Secretariat, Ersan Saputra, then praised its performance as the best form of service in realizing the progress of Bengkalis Regency.[6]
Personal life[edit]
Wisra's daughter, Zikratul Husna (b. 14 March 2007), is a preacher who participated in the 47th Musabaqah Tilawatil Qur'an at the Bengkalis Regency level which was held in Bukit Batu in 2022.[7]
