Wistiki

Wistiki is a French startup company founded in 2013. The company produces tracking devices that users can attach to their belongings.[1][2]

History

The company was created on 14 December 2013 by three brothers, Théo, Hugo and Bruno Lussato.[3] The device was designed by the French architect, Philippe Starck.[4]

In 2014, the founders opted for a campaign on the MyMajorCompany site, with the intention of finding angel investors. The company initially launched a campaign to raise 20,000 euros, which the insurance company AXA provided 60% of.[5] At the same time, an advertising campaign was conducted in the written press.[6] In the end, around 80,000 euros were raised.[7]

In July 2015, the start-up was valued at 16.5 million euros.[8][9]

Features

Wistiki products are entirely designed and manufactured in France. They are Bluetooth Low Energy technology. Through the use of a mobile application for Android and iOS, users can geolocate their lost belongings.[10]
