With Dead Hands Rising was an American deathcore band from the Twin Cities of Minnesota. The group was formed in 2001 and disbanded in 2009.[1] It was announced via the band's official Facebook page on November 14, 2017 that the band was returning to action with all original members.[2]
Background[edit]
With Dead Hands Rising was formed in 2001. A year after their formation, the band was featured on a three-way split EP, Words as Weapons Volume 1 with Wings Of Scarlet and Tears Will Drown after signing to Life Sentence Records.[3] In January 2003, the band's first full-length Behind Inquisition was released. With Dead Hands Rising followed up their first full-length with an EP titled The Horror Grows Near. In May 2004, the band officially signed with Mediaskare Records.[4] Four years later in 2008, the band released their last and final album, Expect Hell.[5] A year after the release of their second full-length, the band was officially disbanded in 2009.[6] The band reunited in November of 2017.[citation needed]
Style[edit]
The band played a mixture of death metal and metalcore with hints of grindcore. The band's songs consisted of very technical drumming, double bass, and breakdowns.
