World Pro Volleyball League
World Pro Volleyball League (WPVL)--The new league was planned for a spring 2020 debut, but was cancelled by the pandemic. Teams were to play indoors June to September in current NBA/NHL arenas, except the Los Angeles franchise, which would have played at The Forum in Inglewood, CA and the San Diego franchise, who would have played at the Convention Center downtown. Western Division: Los Angeles Stars, San Diego Sails, San Francisco Seals, Seattle Jets, Las Vegas Rollers, Anaheim Aces. Eastern Division: New York Defenders, Chicago Arrows, Houston Wranglers, Miami Tropics, St. Louis Explorers, Washington D. C. Eagles. League Commissioner was to be Dan Rendant, league office in Los Angeles.
