World University Orienteering Championships

World University Orienteering Championships is an international university orienteering competition organized by the International University Sports Federation (FISU). The event was first held in 1978 and is one of the oldest championships in the FISU World University Championships programme.
History
The first edition took place in Jyväskylä, Finland, in 1978. Since then, the championship has been held in various countries as a biennial or recurring university-level orienteering competition.
Competition format
The championship typically includes sprint, middle distance, long distance, relay, and sprint relay events.
