"World in Action" was the third single released by Toyah Willcox as a solo artist. The song, and its b-side were taken from her debut solo album Minx. It would be the last single from the album and Toyah’s final release on Portrait/CBS Records.[1] With no official video and minimal promotion, it was released in September 1985 and spent 1 week on the UK Singles Chart, reaching number 93.[2]

The Action Mix which features on the 12" vinyl was added to the Minx 2005 reissue along with a previously unreleased extended mix.
