Wynona Bleach are an Alternative Rock band from Belfast, Northern Ireland, formed in 2018. They signed to Fierce Panda Records in 2021.[1] Since forming in 2018, they have released one EP: "Sugar" and one album, Moonsoake, which was released in 2022.[2]
History
Formation (2018)
Wynona Bleach officially formed with their debut single "Eyes Burning" in 2018[3] . Prior to this, the band played together under various titles, including "R51", under which they toured the UK, Europe and Russia[4] from 2015-2018.
Debut album (2019)
Immediately following a tour with Alice in Chains in summer 2019,[5] Wynona Bleach took a recording studio from their hometown of Belfast to Coimbra, Portugal to record their debut album. They worked with producer and songwriter Bill Ryder-Jones in an abandoned pool table factory, where they built a studio and worked from September to October 2019.[6] The album was mixed in part by Andy Bradfield and Avril Mackintosh, two producers that guitarist Jonny Woods met after being smuggled by the band’s management into the Music Producers Guild Awards ceremony 2020, a mere month before the UK went into lockdowns.[7]
In 2021 the band signed to Fierce Panda Records[8] and released their debut album "Moonsoake".[9]
