Wynyard Village
- There are 2 parishes, one in Hartlepool district and the other in Stockton-on-Tees district which should both have articles however this article could deal with the village named "Wynyard Village" which was an ONS BUA with a population of 2593 in 2015 so perhaps move this to Wynyard Village. Wynyard is a village in County Durham, England.[2] Administratively it is located in both the boroughs of Stockton-on-Tees and Hartlepool. The name is from the Old English way of pronouncing Vineyard.[3]
There is a public house (called The Stable) in the village. The educational establishment in the village is a Church of England primary school while the nearby Northfield School & Sports College is in neighbouring Wolviston.
History

The village has developed from a hamlet serving Wynyard Hall in the late-20th century to a village in the early-21st century.
Governance
It was in the palatinate of Durham (the prince-bishop of Durham's domain) from its establishment until 1836 when it became a standard type of county. 1974 reforms led to Wynyard, relatively small at the time, being placed under the Stockton district of Cleveland county. The district became a unitary authority in 1996 and readmitted to ceremonial County Durham with the village later overspilling into the borough of Hartlepool.
Geography
The village spans from the A19 Road to the abandoned Castle Eden Railway, along Hartlepool Road. The parish includes a business park, and a golf club. Nearby large towns include Stockton-on-Tees (south), Billingham (south east), Sedgefield (north west) and Hartlepool (north east).
