XLAB ISL Online[1][2] is a privately owned remote access[3][4] and support solution[5] that allows IT to connect to the computers, tablets and smart phones[6] in 100 countries around the world. This software is delivered via cloud[7] or on-premises, and allows users to access and control Windows, Mac, Linux and Android devices while supporting full screen-view on iOS. ISL Online provides its consumers with tools[8] where they can connect with customers to provide them with the support they need.[9][10] ISL has created their own network that has availability and stability of remote computer access services and online meetings.[11] AVG Technologies[12] uses ISL Online as their remote support in order to eliminate the need to purchase a third-party solution. [13][14] This software was developed by XLAB, which is a software development company.[15]
History[edit]
ISL Online was established by XLAB in Ljubljana, Slovenia in 2001. This is when the initial version of the ISL ("Internet Services Layer")[16] software application was developed. XLAB is a research and development company with a background in the fields of distributed systems, cloud computing and peer-to-peer networks.
In 2015, Avast Business integrated ISL Online's remote control software into their managed workplace remote monitoring and management (RMM) platform.
In 2017, ISL Online opened offices in Newton, North Carolina, expanding to serve and focus on growth in North America locally.[17]
