Xamarion Gordon (born February 3, 2003)[1] is an American football safety for the Coastal Carolina Chanticleers. He previously played for the USC Trojans.

Early life and high school[edit]

Gordon grew up in Houston, Texas and attended Warren High School in Downey, California. In high school, Gordon made 41 tackles, including 1.5 tackles for loss, three interceptions, a deflection, three fumble recoveries (one for a touchdown) and a force fumble during his sophomore season.[2] Gordon would opt out of playing for his senior season in 2020,[3] but still made 2020PrepStar All-American.[4] He was a four-star rated recruit and would decide to commit to play college football at the University of Southern California[5] over offers from Arizona, Arizona State, Notre Dame, Oregon and UCLA.[6]

College career[edit]

USC[edit]

Gordon was an early enrollee who enrolled in the spring of 2021. During his true freshman season in 2021, he appeared in three games while at safety and on special teams and overall made one tackle against California and was redshirted.[7] During the 2022 season, he played in all 14 games where he also played on the kickoff coverage team and in the secondary, finishing the season with nine tackles, one interception and one pass breakup.[8] Gordon did not see any action during the 2023 season.[9]

On November 28, 2023, Gordon announced that he would be entering the transfer portal.[10]

Coastal Carolina[edit]

On May 1, 2024, Gordon announced that he would transfer to Coastal Carolina.[11]
