Jordan Ward, known professionally as Xayne Outlander, is an American recording artist, songwriter, and activist. He is known for using music to address themes of grief, injustice, mental health, and identity. Outlander is currently distributed by Roc Nation Distribution and has previously worked with EMPIRE Distribution and The Orchard, a Sony Music subsidiary.

Early Career

Before adopting the name Xayne Outlander, he performed under the alias Saba West. He was affiliated with the Virginia-based label Stackin Up Entertainment, founded by Gregory Craig Brown Jr. In 2020, Stackin Up Entertainment became a subsidiary of EMPIRE Distribution, which helped amplify the reach of Saba West’s music, including his single Two Braids (Pretty Lady). His early association with the label played a significant role in his development as an artist.[citation needed]

Career

On October 30, 2022, Outlander released his debut album Oblivion, which focused on themes of heartbreak, grief, and betrayal. After signing with Roc Nation Distribution in 2024, he removed the album from streaming platforms and redistributed it through the label in 2025.

He followed up with the EP Hollow on January 1, 2023, distributed by The Orchard. The project delved into themes of loneliness, alcoholism, and emotional trauma.
