YOHARIS
Yoharis Manito (Born 2003), known professionally as YOHARIS, is a Canadian singer, producer and songwriter.[1]
Early Life
First starting off on YouTube, creating beats and tutorials for Garageband. He did this for close to 6 years while also posting covers and original songs.[2]
Career
2017 - 2020 : Early beginnings
Starting in 2017, we would start seeing original music such as when i'm with you, i don't feel as numb and don't you remember? being uploaded to his YouTube channel, these were positively received and garnered a few thousand views. During this time, he grew his channel and name by posting tutorial videos on creating type beats for popular hip-hop artists such as Xan and Lil Pump.
2020 - Present : Focusing on music
Starting in 2020, YOHARIS would stop posting on his YouTube channel to fully focus on original music and his career as a recording artist. He would release songs on streaming platforms such as Guilty Pleasures, Halo and MISS U. The latter gaining over 10,000 streams. In late 2022, he would release his first EP, called The Midnight Element, this was by far his most successful release garnering hundreds of thousands of streams on Spotify. In 2023, he made his debut performance in Ottawa for City Sounds Live, which are a series of free outside concerts within the city. He performed at the Ottawa Art Gallery.[3]

Influences
As mentioned in his Spotify biography, YOHARIS has been influenced by a multitude of artists and genres. Michael Jackson, Drake, SZA, Frank Ocean, Justin Bieber and Daniel Caesar are a few of those who inspired him and influenced his sound.[1]
Musical Style
YOHARIS mixes in a lot of 80s R&B vibes into a more modern and contemporary R&B beat. His smooth vocals go well on dreamy, contemporary and alternative R&B instrumentals[1] As a producer, he creates all of his own beats, he started on his iPod Touch at the age of 14.[1]
