Solomon Adu Antwi, popularly known as Yaa Pono is a Ghanaian rapper, singer and songwriter who hails from Tema. [1] His hit single, Obiaa Wone Master, won Hiplife Song of the Year at the 2019 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards. [2][3][4][5]
Yaa Pono rose to fame after appearing on several radio shows, particularly Kasahari Levels, a radio 'battle' session for rappers.[6][7] He was subsequently signed to Pidgin Records in 2009, which further put him in the spotlight.[8]
