Yadollah Khalili (1951,Tehran) is an Iranian retired fighter pilot of Grumman F-14 Tomcat who served during the Iran–Iraq War.[1]
Military Background[edit]
he served as a Second brigadier general pilot flying the Grumman F-14 Tomcat.Yadollah Khalili achieved remarkable feats during his time as a pilot.[2]
One of his notable achievements was a confrontation with seven Iraqi MiG-21 fighters just days before the Iran-Iraq war. Despite being armed only with a 20-mm machine gun on his Tomcat, he engaged the enemy aircraft and successfully drove them out of Iranian airspace.
Yadollah Khalili also holds a record for the longest uninterrupted flight with a fighter in Haas, Iran. In a single flight, he flew for approximately 12 hours, accomplishing eight refuelings along the way.[3][4][5][6]
