Yara International School (YIS) (Arabic: المدرسة يارا العالمية - الرياض, Hindi: यारा अंतरराष्ट्रीय विधालय) is an International Indian school affiliated to Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi located in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. As per the rules and regulations from Ministry of Education (Saudi Arabia), the school follows single-sex education system. This school is known for having a high fee structure among Indian schools in Riyadh, similar to Al-Yasmin International School and Delhi Public School.[citation needed]
History
The school was operated in an unknown villa in Rawah District of Riyadh since 2003. In March 2012, the entire school was shifted to Al Imam Muhammad Ibn Saud University Building in Dheera district of Riyadh. Khalid Al Idrees is the school's chairman and owner, and Aasima Saleem is the Principal and Correspondent.[2]
In April 2017, the school marked the inauguration of Class 11 and Class 12, both in Boys' and Girls' section from the Academic Year 2017-2018. The school offered Commerce and three streams in science.
In 2012, Yara International School became the first Indian school in Saudi Arabia to install Educomp Smart Class (Digital) boards.[citation needed]
