Yasin Ghasemi Bojd (Persian: یاسین قاسمی بجد) (born January 11, 1989) is a iranian writer, poet and translator, born in Zahedan. He has published more than 60 books[1] in the political, religious and social fields, as well as a collection of poems.[2][3][4][5] He also won the book of the University of Tehran Student Year[6][7]

Yasin Ghasemi Bojd was summoned to the Zahedan Public and Revolutionary Prosecutor's Office in January 2021 on charges of insulting sacred things, insulting the founder of the Islamic Republic, and spreading lies to disturb public opinion. After defending the assigned charges, he was released on 100 million Toman bail until the final verdict.[8][9]

Yasin Ghasemi Bojd, a Sunni citizen, was also summoned by IRGC intelligence in 2010-2015-2019 and released after interrogation.[10]

According to the HRANA news agency, the news organ of the Iranian Association of Human Rights Activists, on Tuesday, February 16, 2021, Yasin Ghasemi Bojd, a writer and translator living in Qeshm Island, He was arrested for re-interrogation and transferred to the Zahedan Prison.[11]

According to Riyadh Daily, Mr. Ghasemi is charged with insulting the sanctities of Islam, insulting the founder of the Islamic Republic, spreading lies, and propaganda against the regime.[12]

According to Iranwire and a group of human rights activists in Iran, Yasin Ghasemi Bojd was acquitted of two charges of spreading lies with the intention of disturbing the public mind and insulting sacred things.[13][14]

According to the HRANA news agency, the news organ of the Iranian Association of Human Rights Activists, quoting an informed source, "Mr. Ghasemi Bojd has stated regarding the charges against him that during the interrogation, he was pressured by IRGC intelligence interrogators to obtain forced confessions. "He has been tortured."[14][13]

Yasin Ghasemi Bojd was a member of the Iranian Association of Environmental Activists, whose most important action was to prevent the destruction of the Portuguese Castle on the Hormuz Island.[15][16]

At the 3rd Narin International Photo Festival held in Kyrgyzstan, Yasin Ghasemi Bojd's photo "Theft of the Sun" won the Honorable Mention Award in the creative category. Gando's photo in the photojournalism section has also received the necessary admission and points to receive the titles of PSA and FIAP. The festival was organized by the World Photography Federation (FIAP) and the American Photography Association (PSA) in Kyrgyzstan.[18][19] At the 5th International Nowruz Photo Festival 2022 in Tajikistan, Ramin Wharf by Yasin Ghasemi Bojd was awarded the ribbon, and three other photographs were accepted in the categories of People, Tourism and Landscape.[20][21][22] At the first George Barker International Award Photo Festival 2022, which was held in Canada, two Yassin Ghasemi Bojd photographs in the aerial photography and free color photography categories were accepted and gained the necessary points to receive the titles of PSA and FIAP.[23][24] In the first Persian Gulf National Photo Festival, which was held on the occasion of the Persian Gulf National Day in Hormozgan province, Yasin Ghasemi Bojd won the first place of this festival in the section of courage and chivalry.[25][26]

In an interview with Asia newspaper, Yasin Ghasemi Bojd strongly criticized the situation of book censorship in Iran and announced that three of his books had been rejected in the 13th government of the Islamic Republic of Iran[27]
