Yasuyuki Kawahigashi

Script error: No such module "AfC submission catcheck". Yasuyuki Kawahigashi (河東 泰之, Yasuyuki Kawahigashi, born 1962) is a Japanese mathematician, who specializes theory of operator algebras. He is a professor of mathematics at Graduate School of Mathematical Sciences, University of Tokyo.

Kawahigashi Hekigotō was the younger brother of his wife's great-grandfather.

He is known for 'Classification of local conformal nets. case c< 1', submitted with Roberto Longo in 2004.

Education[edit]

He was a Kumon student[1]. After graduating from Azabu School, he studied mathematics at University of Tokyo, receiving his BS in 1985 and MS in 1987. He got his PhD from University of California, Los Angeles in 1989. He also received his doctorate degree from the University of Tokyo in 1990 by Ronbun Hakushi (論文博士).

Career[edit]

He worked as an assistant, lecturer and associate professor at the University of Tokyo's Faculty of Science before becoming a professor.
