The Yellow-eyed Penguin Trust, called Te Tautiaki Hoiho in Maori, is a long established non-governmental organisation[1] with a with a specific focus on the conservation of Yellow-eyed penguins across the Otago Peninsula, North Otago and The Catlins.
The Yellow-eyed Penguin Trust was formed in Dunedin in 1987 with the aim of increasing the population of the yellow-eyed by restoring coastal forest and controlling predators.
