Yemeni Australians (Arabic: الاستراليين اليمنيين) are referred to as Australian citizens with an ancestry from Yemen. The population of Yemenis living in Australia is 1,443 residents, as they are part of the 555,000 Arabs. The languages they speak are Australian English, Arabic, and many others. The majority follow Sunni Islam, followed by Shia Islam as a minority.
History
The Yemeni citizens of Australia probably arrived with the Arabs between 1860 and 1930. Yemenis also came when Yemen experienced war, poverty, terrorism, extreme violence, air strikes, kidnapping, and civil and international conflicts.
