Houssam Abiad

Clr Houssam Abiad, and current Deputy Lord Mayor, City of Adelaide

Houssam Abiad (born 17 September 1976, in Adelaide) is a former councillor, former Deputy Lord Mayor for the City of Adelaide, and former chairman of the Australia Day Council SA, but resigned from all positions in January 2020.[1] In 2020 he became the city manager for the future requirements of the city of Mecca.[2]

Abiad was born in Adelaide but grew up in Lebanon.
