Yoco is a South African fintech company and a payments and Point of Sale provider[2] based in Cape Town, South Africa.
History
Yoco was founded in 2015 by Katlego Maphai (CEO), Carl Wazen, Bradley Wattrus and Lungisa Matshoba, with the aim of enabling small businesses to securely accept card payments[3]. The company has raised US$23 million from a range of international and local investors [4] [5] [6]. Yoco is considered South Africa’s largest and fastest growing independent card payments provider by number of merchants[7][8]
