YouTubers vs. TikTokers is a white-collar amateur boxing event booked by Social Gloves featuring various YouTubers and TikTokers. The main event being between the American YouTuber Austin McBroom, and American TikToker Bryce Hall. The undercard has a many YouTubers and TikTokers including a bout between AnEsonGib and Tayler Holder.

The event has been promoted as "Battle of the Platforms" by Social Gloves[1]. It was broadcasted on LiveXLive.[2][3]

Background[edit]

In early March 2021, Austin McBroom had Twitter beef with TikToker Bryce Hall. A match was booked between Austin McBroom and Bryce Hall. On 18 March 2021, LiveXLive announced a full card of YouTubers vs. TikTokers. in which YouTuber Tanner Fox was scheduled to face Nick Austin while YouTuber Faze Jarvis was scheduled to face TikToker Micheal Le. The third fight was between YouTuber DDG and TikToker Nate Wyatt. In the third fight, TikToker Taylor Holder was scheduled to face a random YouTuber which fans were supposed to pick as well as in the fourth fight, YouTuber Danny Duncan was also scheduled to face a random TikToker which fans were supposed to pick as well. The semi-main event was between British YouTuber Deji and TikToker Vinnie Hacker. Majority of the fans chose AnEsonGib in the fight against Taylor Holder. Later on, TikToker Nick Austin left the event and was replaced by Ryland Storms. YouTuber Danny Duncan also left and was replaced by Ryan Johnston.

Press conference[edit]

On 18 May 2021, YouTube boxers and TikTok boxers had their first press conference. The press conference was hosted by Keemstar and FouseyTube and was attended by all the YouTubers and TikTokers in the event except AnEsonGib and Deji who joined on an online call through monitors. The press conference was also attended by YouTuber Slim Albaher. Towards the end of the press conference, Austin McBroom stood up from his chair and Bryce Hall attacked Austin which resulted in Bryce falling down and being taken away from the security.[4]

Tanner Fox situation[edit]

Originally YouTuber Tanner Fox was supposed to fight TikToker Ryland Storms, but dropped out due to the weight being to different between the two.
