Yuri Yurievich Sinitsa (ukr. Синица Юрий Юрьевич; born in Chernihiv, 8 March 1978), is a Ukrainian founder and owner of the COLLAR Company. He is also the Chairman of the club FC Chernihiv.[1][2][3]
Biography
Yuri Sinitsa is the founder of the company called COLLAR Company in Chernihiv in 1995, a manufacturer of goods for animals.[4][5][6][7]Since 2011, Yuri Sinitsa, as the owner of the Kollar company and a candidate of psychological sciences Viktor Mozgovy, were the initiators of this method in the center, a private entrepreneur for the Chernihiv regional center for social rehabilitation of disabled children "Vozrozhdenie", which has been conducting canister therapy classes. Canister therapy is a type of therapy with animals – treatment and rehabilitation using specially trained dogs.[8] In 2016, the company employed over 390 employees.[9]In December 2020, Yuri celebrated the 25th anniversary of Collar Company.[10][11][12]
Sports and patronage
In 2003, he formed a new football team FC Chernihiv in the city of Chernihiv, which managed to win the Chernihiv Oblast Football Cup in 2012[13] and the Chernihiv Oblast Football Championship.[14][15] In 2011, he managed to sign the experienced Georgian defender, Teymuraz Mchedlishvili.[16][17] In 2012, Yuri Sinitsa, after establishing the football club FC Chernihiv, noticed that the few existing stadiums in Chernihiv didn't match the standards, such as Lokomotiv stadium and the Olympic sports training center which is the Desna Chernihiv football field, its rent was quite high, and started developing his idea that a team needs its own infrastructure.[18] In 2016, the first construction work started and in May 2017, the football field, Chernihiv Arena, was built with changing rooms and showers, all communications, roads, and parking lots were ready to receive visitors.[19] In 2017, Chernihiv city Mayor Vladyslav Atroshenko, addressing the investor Yuri Sinitsa of this project, noted that the idea of building this facility at his own expense is worthy of admiration and imitation.[20] In October 2020, he managed to bring the team into the Ukrainian Second League for the 2020-21 season for the first time[21] and also to sign the experienced goalkeeper Anatoliy Tymofeyev for the club.[22][23]In 2021 he sold Ruslan Dedukh to Hirnyk-Sport Horishni Plavni, one of the most representative players of the club.[24]
