The ZEDAS GmbH company, commonly known as ZEDAS, is a German multinational enterprise software company based in Senftenberg, Germany.

History[edit]

The company was founded in 1990 as PC-Soft GmbH and renamed to ZEDAS in 2015..[1][2]

In 2012 the system zedas(r)asset was part of an academical thesis to develop a new software logic based on multi

variate data analysis in order to create asset diagnosis and predictions.

The data were provided by a company from chile in copper mining.[3] As a result ZEDAS offers innovative monitoring and predictive maintenance solutions.[4]

The company was honored with a prize for entrepreneurial services in 2017[5][6] and awarded as one of the five companies fom Berlin / Brandenburg with the coveted business prize by the Oskar Patzelt Foundation[7] and again nominated for 2020[8]

In 2018 a new subsidiary company in Ukraine was founded[9] and in 2019 a subsidiary company in Poland[10] and one more developer office in Dresden[11], Germany.

Products[edit]

The company's core product set can be devided into three areas: The software suites zedas®asset (EAM software), the logistic software for railway transportation zedas®cargo, and third the IT-Solutions for Software as a Service.

Mainly railway companies[12] are using the products from ZEDAS for asset management in infrastructure[13] and rolling stock[14] but also in some other industries.[15][16]

The software suite is using so-called Maintenance 4.0 standards to support the management of big data.[17]

It also offers solutions for mobile client working.[18]
