ZFM is an Arizona band formed in 2020 that specializes in alternative rock music. The only identifiable member of ZFM is Miles Fig.[1]

Background[edit]

ZFM was created on December 27, 2020 with the release of their debut album, No Title (2020).[2] As of February 20, 2021, the band consists of four members as seen in the album art of Serious (2021).[3] One has been identified as Miles Fig,[1] for his upload of ZFM's first album on his YouTube channel.[4] The others remain unidentified. There is a bassist, a guitarist (although, two guitars are heard in some songs), a drummer, and a singer. It is unknown which members play which role.

The band mainly focused on alternative rock in their earlier albums. However, later releases such as ZFM Gets Sad (2021)[5] include metalcore, and indie pop.

Releases[edit]

In December 2020, small-time YouTuber Miles Fig[1] uploaded No Title. (2020) to his channel,[4] coming with no announcement. No Title. (2020) is the only release by ZFM to be uploaded by a non-band account, with all subsequent releases debuting on ZFM's official YouTube channel.

In January 2021, ZFM released their second album, Three-string (2021).[6] This time coming with two teasers and one announcement video on their Instagram account.[7][8][9]

In February 2021, ZFM released their third album, Serious (2021).[3]

In March 2021, ZFM released their first EP, ZFM Gets Sad (2021).[5]

In an Instagram post on April 23, they alluded to an unannounced release.[10]

ZFM has made 43 songs within the span of four months.

Association[edit]

ZFM has often been associated with the American duo, Salad II. ZFM and Salad II had numerous public spouts on their Instagram stories that consisted of name-calling and criticism of each others music.
