- Feb. 2008: First beta released on SourceForge
- Apr. 2009: ZK Spreadsheet 1.0 made available to the public
- Dec. 2010: 2.0 released supporting charts
- Nov. 2013: 3.0 released introducing freeze pane and undo/redo
- Jul. 2014: 3.5 released with API overhaul and performance enhancement
- May 2015: 3.8 released supporting text orientation and Excel Table format
- Jul. 2016: 3.9 released supporting date, number and text filter
- Apr. 2018: announced Keikai as the next generation of ZK Spreadsheet
