Zachery Saleski (born May 10, 1990) is an American football coach. He was most recently the head football coach and defensive coordinator for the Silesia Rebels in Gliwice, Poland.
Early life[edit]
Zachery Saleski was born May 10, 1990, in Liberty, Missouri (a suburb of Kansas City, Missouri). He lived in Liberty until 2004 where he moved to Shawnee Hills, Ohio, in which he attended Dublin Jerome High School.[1]
Playing career[edit]
From 2005 to 2008 Saleski was a part of the Dublin Jerome High School football team. In 2007, Zac spent a semester back in his hometown of Liberty, Missouri before moving back to play for his senior season at Dublin Jerome in 2008 in which they won their first Ohio Capital Conference Cardinal Division title in school history. After graduation Saleski committed to play football at Briar Cliff University (a NAIA school located in Sioux City, Iowa), Zac spent a year there before transferring to Miami University of Ohio where he was the starting defensive lineman for the club football team. After his college career in 2014, 2015 respectively; Zac had brief stints with the Bloomington Edge and Alabama Hammers.
Coaching career[edit]
In 2015 Zac accepted his first coaching job with the club football team at Miami University of Ohio where he was the defensive line coach; they reached the 2015 NCFA National Championship Game.[2] In 2016, Saleski coached Outside Linebackers at Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy.[3] Following 2018, Saleski took his first coaching stop overseas when he signed as a defensive coordinator with the Wyszków Rhinos of Wyszków, Poland.[4] In 2019, Saleski was the defensive coordinator for the Paderborn Dolphins where they finished 9–3 in GFL3.[5] After a successful 2019 campaign, Saleski was promoted to head coach of the Dolphins.[6] Due to the coronavirus pandemic the 2020 season was eventually cancelled. In 2021, Zac signed with the Silesia Rebels in Katowice, Poland as their Head Coach and Defensive Coordinator.
Personal life[edit]
In 2018, Zac started a YouTube channel documenting his time in Poland, he continued this when he moved to Germany.[7]
