Muhammad Zaki Kaifi (2 July 1926 - 24 January 1985) was an Islamic scholar and a poet of Urdu language. He founded Idara Islamiyat, an Islamic publishing house in Lahore. He was the son of Muhammad Shafi Deobandi and Islamic scholars Taqi Usmani and Muhammad Rafi Usmani. His poetic collection Kaifiyat was published following his death in January 1985.

Zaki Kaifi was born on 2 July 1926 in British India to Muhammad Shafi Deobandi. He was named Muhammad Zaki by Islamic scholar Ashraf Ali Thanwi. He received his initial education at Darul Uloom Deoband. He became a murid of Ashraf Ali Thanwi and studied Pand Nama Attar with him.[1]
Kaifi supported the establishment of Pakistan. He alongside his father participated in the Sarhad Referendum, Lahore conference and Hyderabad conference. He, together with the youth in Deoband, formed an informal organization, that kept watch at night during riots and safeguarded the Muslims.[1]
Kaifi was a poet and his poetry collection Kafiyat was published from Idara Islamiyat, a publishing house he owned himself, following his death on 24 January 1985.[2][3] It contains hymns, naats, ghazals, national poems and verses.[4]
