Zigi Ndlovu
iZigizendoda "Zigi" Ndlovu (born 31 July) is a South African actor, filmmaker, and creative entrepreneur known for his contributions to the South African film and television industry.[1]
Early life and education
Born and raised in the small town of Thulamahashe in Mpumalanga, Ndlovu later moved to Nelspruit where he completed his schooling.[2]
Following matriculation, Ndlovu pursued formal training at AFDA (The South African School of Motion Picture Medium and Live Performance), where he studied both film and acting. He initially focused on acting but soon recognized the value of understanding the entire filmmaking process to enhance his performances.[3]

Transition from acting to filmmaking
After graduating from AFDA, After an unsuccessful audition in Pretoria, Ndlovu recorded and posted a monologue about women's abductions online, which garnered significant attention and led to new collaborations. He began working with various actors on scenes, which eventually evolved into his most notable project to date – the web series "Love".[6]
Founding of Outre' Productions
Recognizing the need for greater creative control and innovative storytelling platforms, Ndlovu co-founded Outre' Productions with Gcinuhlanga Dibi.[6] The name "Outre'" was deliberately chosen from synonyms for "outside the box" after extensive research, reflecting their mission to create unconventional content that challenges traditional narratives.[7]

Beyond his acting performances, Ndlovu has established himself as a multifaceted filmmaker with skills spanning directing, editing, videography, and producing. His creative portfolio includes music videos (such as "Risk ft. Moliy" in 2024), short films, commercials, and music festival coverage,[8]
