Zivit Inbar
Zivit Inbar (born December 3, 1970) is an Australian-Israeli entrepreneur, public speaker, adjunct professor, and author. She is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, and Fellow of the Chartered Professionals in Human Resources.[1][2][3][4][5][6] Her business expertise is in people, culture, leadership, ethics and performance.
Background[edit]
Zivit was born in Kibbutz Erez in Israel[citation needed] and came to Australia in 2022 to gain her PhD.
Education[edit]
Most recently Inbar has attained certifications through the Harvard Kennedy School including, Executive Certificate in Public Leadership in 2023, and Leadership and Character in Uncertain Times (2021) and Leadership Decision Making (2019). She completed Health Board Essentials with the Victorian Health Association in 2022.[3][7][2]
Zivit earned her PhD in Strategic and HR Management from the University of Melbourne in 2010, with a research focus on strategic thinking and strategy implementation by Western companies in China. She obtained a Business Coaching Certification from Open-Door Coaching in 2014 and attained her FCPHR in 2013.[3][8]
Her academic journey began at Tel Aviv University with Bachelor of Arts in 1996, and a Master of Science in Organizational Behavior in 2002, both with Magna Cum Laude honors.[3]
Career[edit]
Zivit founded DifferenThinking Consulting in 2016, and is the CEO. Former roles include Chief Human Resources Officer at HireRoad (formerly Acendre) as part of the global executive leadership team, and Vice President Global HR at Better Place, overseeing global HR functions across APAC, Europe, and the US. From 2010 to 2012 she was the Head of HR Australasia at DST Global Solutions.[2][3][9]
Boards, Committees and Advisory[edit]
Zivit holds the positions of Non-Executive Director, Rural Northwest Health, Co-Chair, Harvard Alumni Entrepreneurs Australia (both from 2020), and since 2019 has been a Member of the Global Committees, for Standards Australia. She is also a board member for the National Council of Jewish Women of Australia Victoria (NCJWA Vic).[1][5][10][11]
Previously, she held a board position with SPELD Victoria,.[12]

Zivit has experience driving high-level strategies and processes across global organizations (China, APAC, Europe, and the US).[5][7]
Awards and Achievements[edit]
In 2016, Zivit published The Ethical Kaleidoscope: Values, Ethics, and Corporate Governance. Her thesis, “Culture and strategy of the corporate governance in cross national operations: the case studies of Israeli companies operating in China”, was published in 2010.[13][14][15][16]
In 2020 Zivit was a finalist in the Leadership Institute’s Empowered Women Awards.[17]

She was featured for the 2017 CSIRO, ON Tribe forum, and has been interviewed online across various topics, including the great resignation, boardroom bias, and dyslexia.[22][23][24][25]
