Premise[edit]

Centuries ago, rather than have a full-out war of the revelation, a deal was struck between the heroes of the good and the evil. As a result of the deal, a beach was sanctioned to the evil. There, the undead could walk like living beings among us, as zombies.[3]

Synopsis[edit]

The Holy Man reminisces on the fate of his beloved son, Andrew. Born and raised to be the slayer who brings light back to the world, Andrew lost his beloved and then his own life in battle with zombies. In the present day, the Holy Man is left to watch over Zombie Beach, where the living dead continue to exist.

Elsewhere, college student Roshan returns home from India, reunited with his girlfriend, Vanessa, and his two friends: Justin and Mike. Although things seem normal and tranquil between the four of them, Roshan is haunted by nightmares of zombies invading his home and attacking him. He tries to dismiss these nightmares, but when he goes out to exercise during the day, visions of zombies return to haunt him.

Meanwhile, Mike and Justin begin their latest scheme; Justin will take pictures of women wearing bikinis designed by Mike, which gives the boys access to beautiful women. The women don't know that Mike simply bought the clothes for cheap, and Justin often forgets to take actual pictures. Although Roshan is amused by his friends' antics, his attitude changes when Sharon arrives and agrees to model for the boys. She even makes herself at home and strips down for a swim in the backyard.

Roshan angrily confronts Sharon while she reminds him of a fling that they had the year before. Roshan dismisses it as a mistake and resists Sharon's attempts to seduce him. When Sharon and Vanessa cross paths, Roshan is barely able to hide the truth from his skeptical girlfriend. Mike and Justin, meanwhile, are only too eager to get Sharon on board, especially when she provides them footage of her making out with Cindy, the other girl they've tricked into being their model.

Luckily for Roshan, Vanessa is more concerned about Roshan's uncomfortable sleeping, as well as the future of their relationship. Roshan suggests that he might return to India after his studies are finished and invite Vanessa to come back with him. Although Vanessa agrees to come back with him, she has her doubts. This leads her to a nearby church, where she encounters the Holy Man. She expresses her concerns about her relationship with Roshan, and the Holy Man comforts her with spiritual advice.

While that happens, Roshan is hanging out with Mike and Justin in the park when he is confronted by Crazy Nicky. Nicky alludes to Roshan's visions of zombies, swearing that his time will come before running off. While students dismiss Nicky's ramblings, a zombie is later seen wandering the park. Nicky flees to the Holy Man's church, where the Holy Man agrees that Vanessa and Roshan are the people for whom he has been waiting.

Over at Zombie Beach, Justin and Mike bring Cindy and Sharon to pose for pictures by the water. The two jokers try to convince the models to pose naked, just before all four of them are surrounded by zombies and killed. Just before his death, Mike was on the phone with Roshan, who convinces Vanessa to come with him to the beach and investigate what's happening. They are too late, but a bystander calls the police when she sees the zombies feeding on the four corpses.

By the time Roshan and Vanessa come to the beach, they discover, to their horror, a pair of zombies playing with Justin's camera. They flee the beach, only to be accosted by a detective and a trainee named Suzie. The detective begins to arrest the two before Crazy Nicky persuades him to come to the Holy Man's church for the answers.

Confronted by Roshan, Vanessa, Suzie, and the detective, the Holy Man declares that zombies are real, thriving on the beach. The skeptical detective ignores this warning, leading Suzie to investigate the beach while the Holy Man invites Roshan to face his destiny.

The detective brings Suzie to the beach. He initially insists they're looking for clues, but things take a turn when he finds Justin's camera. Inflamed by the racy pictures on the camera, he insists that Suzie poses just like the models before. He even uses Suzie's potential future career as a detective to blackmail her. Suzie acquiesces, stripping down to her underwear and posing for the camera until zombies attack them both and feast on their flesh.

While this happens, the Holy Man performs a ritual in the presence of Vanessa and Roshan. He explains that Zombie Beach belongs to the forces of evil as per an agreement made centuries before. He explains that the undead may exist on the beach as a result of that agreement. The Holy Man also reveals that Roshan is his own son, Andrew, reincarnated to fulfill the task of retaking Zombie Beach for the living. Vanessa resists the latter claim, but Roshan is convinced and accepts the Holy Man's ancient weapon.

After Vanessa storms out, the Holy Man instructs Roshan how to fight the zombies. He returns home, bearing the cross, and gets into an argument with Vanessa. Roshan insists that he must take revenge for their murdered friends, that killing the zombies is his destiny, while a tearful Vanessa, convinced that he's been brainwashed, breaks up with him.

Roshan returns to the beach and takes on the zombies, including the reanimated corpses of those who were killed on the beach. Included is a zombie who used a shovel to bury itself in the sand throughout the film. Roshan is also confronted with the spirit of Andrew's beloved, another figure who had appeared throughout the film. She insists that all the zombies must be killed before her spirit can be freed. As the rest of the fight plays out, a rap song is performed over a montage of scenes from the film. A triumphant Roshan is also reunited with Vanessa on the beach, embracing her in the water as the rap song concludes.

In the epilogue, one week after the confrontation, Roshan jogs across the quiet beach, finally at peace. However, one of the zombies is still walking, and it leaves the beach for the nearby city.
