Zonguldak Alapli Anatolian High School
Zonguldak Alapli Anotolian High School started an education as one class in Ahmet Zeki Primary School in 1995. In the beginning of 1996–1997 years, Zonguldak Alapli Anotolian High School was moved to Social Cooperation and Solidarity Foundation. In 1998, Zonguldak Alapli Anatolian High School was moved to another building which was built by the Special Provincial Directorate of Administration. Zonguldak Alapli Anatolian High School continues education as Anatolian High School depending Middle Education General Administration in the same school.
Education[edit]
Zonguldak Alapli Anatolian High School is one of the most considerable school in Alaplı. Its education is based on Anatolian High School principles. There are some languages such as English and German compulsory.
In 10th class, Students have to select a branch which are "Foreign Language", "Turkish-Maths based" and "Science-Maths based", although students select these branches, they are responsible all of the main courses like Maths, Turkish, Physics, History etc. Also students can take courses like Drawing, Music, Computer Science, PE etc.
There are Music, Drawing, Foreign Language, Computer, Science Labaratories. There is library which has almost 600 books. The school has 330 students. There is a small museum which has been created by students and teachers.
Projects[edit]
There are some projects related to abroad like Comenius and e-twinning. Comenius project was founded by headmaster and English teachers. The project was accepted by Center for European Union Education and Youth Programmes. As for e-twinning, students have a contact with students in the Netherlands by e-mail.
Social Activities[edit]
Every year, festivals are held in the school. In this program, there are competitions like tug of war, gunny sack race, game of finding gold in yoghurt.
