Zyfra is the group of companies, which develops industrial digitalization technologies, invests in such products and improves the Industrial Internet of Things and Artificial Intelligence environment. It is part of AII Corporation (Finland).

History[edit]

The idea of project creation belongs to Pekka Viljakainen [fi].[2]

The Company has started its operations in September 2017 under the brand of Zyfra in Helsinki.[3]

The leadership of the company has been taken by former director of Skolkovo Innovation Center IT cluster and Russian branch of SAP SE Igor Bogachev[4]. At the same time it has become known that the Company intends to invest 100 million dollars in development of Industrial Internet of Things[5][6]

In February 2018, Zyfra has announced the acquisition and integration of two major industrial equipment monitoring systems – MDCPlus and Foreman IEMS.[7]

In September 2018, Zyfra has announced acquisition of the Theta Data Solutions company which specializes in the projects in the area of industrial AI: forecasting and optimization of production processes, simulation modelling and Big Data processing.[8]

In November 2018, Zyfra has acquired for 30 million dollars the industrial software developer – “VIST Group” (currently – Zyfra Mining)– which specializes in the development and implementation of IT systems for mining industry, as well as in software creation for unmanned equipment.[9][10][11]

In June 2019, Gazpromneft and Zyfra have announced the creation of JV for digital products development.[12]

In September 2019, Zyfra has acquired for 9 million dollars the GeoSteering Technologies company – the developer of “smart drilling” technologies.[13]

2018 European AI-based Machine Data Monitoring Solution for Process Industries Entrepreneurial Company of the Year Award.[14]

IOTSWC 2019 Award for best solution for business transformation to “Intelligent Mine”, a complex project developed by Zyfra for SUEK, Russia’s leading coal and energy producer, which turns mining into a highly efficient, safe and automated activity thanks to robotics, IA and IoT technologies.[15]
