Introduction

Hailing from the historic land of West Bengal’s North 24 Parganas and born in an extremely humble family on 10th March 1971, in a very short span of time, Mr. Deb Kumar Chatterjee has developed a clean image of a highly respected member of a society; a well-deserved result of his hard work in the domain of social service.[1]

Owing to his soft-spoken skills, calmness and miscible nature, Mr. Chatterjee now exhibits a well-known public figure for a large-hearted social serviceman. Having started his social life from his home district (North 24 Parganas), Mr. Chatterjee has been successful in creating a separate image for himself from Kolkata to New Delhi for his outstanding services.[2]

Mr. Chatterjee completed his elementary education from Kolkata and afterward pursued graduation from the famous Kalinga University in the stream of Journalism & Mass Communication. Mr. Deb K. Chatterjee is now an established personality in the entire West Bengal as a social worker, politician as well as an industrialist. Committing fully towards the Bhartiya Janta Party and keeping in mind the upcoming Assembly Elections, as of now, Mr. Chatterjee is completely & continuously dedicated to disperse his party’s ideology among the masses.

Social Service Portfolio

Taking inspirations from great personalities like Swami Ramkrishna Paramhans, Swami Vivekanand, Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, Gurudev Ravindra Nath Tagore, Mata Anandmayi, Ishwarchandra Vidyasagar, etc. Mr. Deb Kumar Chatterjee considers them his ideals and has been actively engaged in social service since the very beginning. Mr. Chatterjee is perpetually struggling to transform the Antyodaya dream of Pundit Deendayal Upadhyay to reality by making constant attempts to include the most marginalized person into the social mainstream.

At-present, he is the National Secretary General to the Pradhan Mantri Jan Kalyankari Yojana Prachar Samiti (PMJYPS), through which he conveys crucial information related to the public welfare schemes, formulated to benefit 1.25 billion huge population of India including the public of Bengal. Along with this, Mr. Chatterjee is also known for doing selfless services and has contributed wholeheartedly with open hands during trying times of national distress.

Be it the recent healthcare crisis caused by the pandemic of COVID-19 or the havoc due to the Amphan Cyclone, at all times he was present alongside the relief workers to help Bengal’s general public. Mr. Chatterjee strived hard for Daridra Narayan Seva in various regions of Kolkata, Howrah, and DumDum along with making residential arrangements for the needy. Not only this, in order to strengthen the battle against the Coronavirus more, he made possible to gather a significantly huge public donation for the PM CARES Fund.

Deb TV; a platform for free public opinion

Mr. Chatterjee’s devotion and dedication towards the cause of social service in integral to the execution of his responsibilities towards the civil society. A learned graduate in Journalism & Mass Communication, he started broadcast of a Bangla channel – “Deb TV” from August 15, 2019 to serve the purpose of providing platform to voices of Bengal’s general public; the land hailed as the birthplace of the Indian Journalism.[3]

After gaining independence, the transformation in the objective of media happened, from which West Bengal wasn’t left untouched. Therefore, in the era of commercial journalism, to raise the suppressed voices of the deprived, the backward, women and the incapable, at-present, Deb TV has established itself as a highly popular and leading channel, not only in Kolkata and Howrah but the entire West Bengal. The very foundation of Deb TV is a living example of Mr. Deb Kumar Chatterjee’s social dedication.[4]

Deb & Deb Nidhi Limited; an #Aatmnirbhar initiative

Following the guidelines conveyed by Hon. Prime Minister of India – Mr. Narendra Modi, to achieve self-dependency or Aatmanirbhartaa during the course of spread of Coronavirus, in November 2020 Mr. Deb Kumar Chatterjee established a private company named – “Deb & Deb Nidhi Limited.” At the roots of this company are the following objectives:

  1. To establish connection with the general public of Bengal and spread awareness about the public welfare schemes of the Central Government among them.
  2. To work for the skill development of the potential workforce; thereby making them job-ready.
  3. To financially empower the masses and provide the necessary financial aid to them.
  4. To realize the dream of #AatmanirbharBhaarat through the motto of “Sankalp se Siddhi” and widespread public reach.

Deb & Deb Nidhi Limited is a public welfare company that serves as an organization to empower the members of the Scheduled Castes, the Scheduled Tribes, the Backward Classes, the Marginalized Classes, the Minorities, along with the Women and the Differently-Abled people. The company works with a sole motive to make people self-dependent in all walks of life & livelihood.

A steadfast promise to self; Political journey

Soon after the independence of the Indian mainland, the 90 million large & composite population of West Bengal is yet to receive its long overdue share of the social justice. Thus, with a dedicated will to grant them their actual rights along with a well-deserved representation for the 90 million strong general public of Bengal, Mr. Chatterjee formed a political party named: Rashtriya Janadhikar Suraksha Party in 2012 with a mission to provide freedom to the Bengali masses from the 35-year long oppressive regime of the Communists and the corrupt administrative 10-year long rule of the ruling Trinamool Congress.[5]

Surprisingly, his political party gained momentum and became highly popular among the common people and very soon the party was successful in establishing its roots all along West Bengal. With the highly focused aims to strengthen Bhartiya Janta Party’s claim to politically uproot the ruling Trinamool Congress in the Assembly Polls of 2021 and owing to synonymous ideologies, Mr. Chatterjee’s Rashtriya Janadhikar Suraksha Party was merged in the Bhartiya Janta Party under the able guidance of State Chief & Lok Sabha Member – Mr. Dilip Ghosh.[6]

This merger was drafted for laying the foundation of not only a change in the government but also to change the administrative system against the injustice since decades. Mr. Chatterjee has provided his selfless support to the Bhartiya Janta Party in the Assembly Elections only and only for safeguarding the dignity of the Bengali Maanush.

Intellectual Organizations; Memberships

Mr. Deb Kumar Chatterjee is the owner of a dynamic personality that appreciates the winds of change. To brainstorm the much-needed changes in the society from time-to-time, he has memberships to various intellectual organizations. For example:

  1. In 2017, he established the Institute of Political Leadership in Kolkata; to develop the values of leadership & intellect of executing their social duties among the youth of Bengal.
  2. He is the State Coordinator for the Bengal Unit of the New Delhi based distinguished intellectual institute – the “Policy Root Research Foundation.”

In West Bengal, while being linked to the Policy Root Research Foundation, Mr. Chatterjee made sure to fan away the doubts and fake news among the public regarding the CAA-NRC. Along with that, he also drove the national level initiative named – “Aahvaan” for gaining referendum over #AatmanirbharBhaarat. At-present, Mr. Deb Kumar Chatterjee is engaged in the nationwide “Manthan” with reference to the “One Nation, One Election” initiative, thereby amassing support through public awareness. Paying returns to the memberships of the Policy Root Research Foundation and the Institute of Political Leadership, Mr. Chatterjee is continuously striving forth to gather intellectual workforce in Bengal, U.P. and mega cities like Delhi and Mumbai.
