loveholidays is a UK-based travel retailer specialising in short and medium haul ‘Flight + Hotel’ holidays to Europe.
History
loveholidays was founded by co-founders Alex Francis and Jonny Marsh in 2012. Servicing long-haul and short-haul destinations to UK customers, their offering expanded to include Ireland with the launch of an Irish website in 2016. Loveholidays is a travel search website acting as an agent only. ..[1]. The company is a member of ABTA and holds an ATOL license[2]
On the 15th July 2016, Low Cost Holidays collapsed and the brand was subsequently acquired by loveholidays.[3]
In January 2017 following the collapse of the airline Monarch, loveholidays acquired the brand in an undisclosed deal.
In 2007, private equity investor Livingbridge acquired a majority stake in the company for £180 million.[4]
