Hilife Music Group (stylized in capital letters) aka HILIFE MUSIC and often abbreviated as HMG, is a British independent record company that operates as part of Hilife Group.[1] Its headquarters are located in London, United Kingdom with offices in London, and Peterborough.[2][3]

Hilife Music was originally founded as recording studios in 2007 by chairman and CEO Adrian Fife.[4] The company has delivered services such as Direct Licensing, Artist 50 – 50 and created a music industry first, "Purchase a Record Deal" service.[5][6][7]

Hilife Music is a part of Hilife Group alongside other subsidiary companies that the group owns including Hilife, Agrade, Jorvinci and HMG Designer Brands that was developed to sell artist merchandise.[8]

Agrade Music and Hi5five were developed as additional labels within the group for various genres of music and services, where Hi5five provided Hilife Group "Direct Licensing".[9][10]

Hilife music group collaborated with several recording artists including, Starkey Banton, Anton Collins and Shanice Ashley,[11] and was registered as a limited company in September 2014,[12] whereas Hilife Music Group was registered as a limited company in 2015.[13]

In March 2017, Hilife Music Group launched a music industry first service called "Purchase a Record Deal", a service that enables an artist to buy a recording contract. This new service was developed by Hilife Music Group and delivered through Hilife Music Group subsidiary record label Agrade Music. Agrade Music was developed specifically for this purpose.[14] In April 2020, Hilife Music Group expanded their main production department.[15]

In July 2021, Hilife Music Group announced that its clothing brand, Jorvinci was to become a full Hilife Music Group Subsidiary company having previously been a clothing brand name used by subsidiary company Hilife Designer Brands.[16][17]

In March 2021, chief executive officer Adrian Fife announced the appointment of executive Neil Reuben to Hilife Music Group, taking on the role of Chief Operations Officer. In his role, Reuben would lead operations in all aspects of Hilife Group. In the same month, Hilife Group announced the merger of Hilife Media and Muzik-I, an independent artist-management company.[18] The group also partnered with YMCA.[19]

In May 2021, Hilife Music Group announced plans for a number of group events throughout 2022 including music releases, sporting events and limited edition clothing to commemorate the companies fifteen-year anniversary.[20][21] During this time a new company logo was announced to connect the brands throughout the group, the logo was introduced in January 2022 to coincide with the company anniversary.[22]

In December 2021, Hilife Music Group acquired FM-Entertainment, an events management, and artist development company, the acquisition helped to assist the company labels and artists.[23]

In January 2022, Hilife Music Group signed R&B singer and songwriter Shanice Ashley, Ashley was reunited with Hilife Music Group having previously signed a recording contract with the company in 2014, the news was announced following Ashley signing a two-album deal with the company, Hilife Music Group also announced that Ashley's first album will be released this year.[24]

In February 2022, Hilife Music Group fully reopened their industry first service "Purchase a Record Deal" the statement was made following the government announcement that all remaining restrictions were to be lifted in the United Kingdom.[25]
