Željko Jacques Lučić

Željko Jacques Lučić (born 8 December 1991 in Vrbas, Yugoslavia) is a Yugoslav writter and poet.

Biography[edit]

Željko Jacques Lučić studied computer science at the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Novi Sad, graduated with Master thesis on Solution for the intelligent generation of the distribution network based on a city map data, using genetic algorithms and Monte Carlo simulation [1] in 2015. Currently, he is working in IT industry.

During his studies, through research of Solomon Marcus's works on mathematical linguistics and mathematical poetics, Željko started experimenting with combination of his two passions, Formal language theory and writing poetry. His poems were published on the portals strane.ba okvir.org mimladi.hr xxzmagazin.com covjekcasopis.art.blog, as well as in digital poetry publications Zvuk vode and Bludni stih.

Since 2019, together with Maja Solar, he has been creating and editing the poetry podcast Puna Usta Poezije, promoting contemporary poetry from countries of ex-Yugoslavia.

Awards[edit]

In 2021 as one of the winners of competition organized by SKC Kragujevac, Željko Jacques Lučić published his first book of poetry, Ne Padaju Nestale Ptice, which became part of the edition Prvenac.[2] The manuscript was previously in the final of Treći Trg's competition, as well as in the final for the Mladi Dis award.
