1952 Bowman Presidents Card Set

From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

The 1952 Bowman Presidents Card Set was a set of cards released by Bowman Gum in 1952. The set contains 36 cards; 34 of them being cards of the United States Presidents, and the other two being special cards about the Declaration of Independence and a card of George Washington taking command in the American Revolutionary War.[1]

Appearance[edit]

Each of the presidential cards had a vertical front containing a picture of the president with a background that resembled what they did, & a ribbond with an Eagle containing the president's name. On the back, which was also vertical, the president's name in cursive would be displayed on top of the number president they were & the years they served. A short biography of the president would take up most of the space on the back. The bottom said "US Presidents Collector Series" with the bottom right showing the card number and the bottom left showing the copyright.[2]

Value[edit]

A complete set goes for $1000 but varies on condition. Valuable cards of the set are mostly just important presidents such as George Washington & Abraham Lincoln. However, the two first cards of the set are also worth more. Common cards in average condition go for around $5-$20.[3]
