The 2003–04 season was the English club Gateshead's only season in the Northern Premier League First Division.

Gateshead ended the season in 6th position. Due to the restructuring of the league, with the introduction of the Conference North and South, Gateshead were promoted to the Northern Premier League Premier Division. They also reached the quarter-finals of the Durham Challenge Cup.
