2004 WPSL season
The 2004 Women's Premier Soccer League season was the 7th season of the WPSL. The league consisted of 18 teams split into 3 regional divisions.
California Storm finished the season as national champions, beating New England Mutiny 3-2 in the WPSL Championship game.[1]

Competition format
WPSL was divided into 3 divisions (North, South, and East), comprising 18 teams. All teams play a regular season schedule of 10 or 16 games, up to eight home and eight away, mostly within their division. The champion of all three divisions, as well as a single wildcard, qualify for the national playoffs. The national playoff are a 4-team single elimination bracket where the winner is crowned the league champion.
