2013 (two thousand thirteen) is the number following 2012 and preceding 2014.

It and its two successors 2014 and 2015 all have three distinct prime factors. There are only two earlier triples of numbers with the same property, starting at 1309 and 1885.[1]

2013 may be represented by a sum or difference of squares of prime numbers as 312 + 292 + 172 − 72 − 52 − 22. It is the smallest number whose representations all use at least one prime greater than or equal to 31.[2]
