The 2014–2015 Burmese protests was a mass uprising and nationwide rallies that rocked Myanmar in 2014 and 2015 against the Myanmar National Education Law 2014. The student movement and popular demonstrations led to waves of crackdowns and the deaths of one demonstrator.[1]
Unrest[edit]
Huge public speeches, marches, rallies, opposition and nonviolent acts of disobedience campaigns occurred in 2014–2015 but violence and bloody clashes marred protests, sparking condemnation from foreign donors. Unauthorised protests, decentralised street opposition demonstrations were organised for the next few months, despite threats from government troops.[2]
