The 2018–19 season was Orapa United's 4th consecutive in the Botswana Premier League, the top division in Botswana football. Coach Bongani Mafu left the club shortly after the beginning of the season, with his assistant Mogomotsi Mpote taking over first as caretaker[1] and then permanent manager.
Despite being eliminated in the early stages of both the CAF Confederation Cup and Mascom Top 8 Cup, Orapa defeated Township Rollers in the 2018-19 Botswana FA Cup Final[2] to claim their second trophy.
