The 2019 Galway Intermediate Football Championship is Galway GAA's gaelic football tournament for intermediate graded clubs in County Galway, Ireland.

Team Changes[edit]

The following teams have changed division since the 2018 championship season.


Format[edit]

Group Stage[edit]

2019 will remain with the same format for the competition as in 2018, where there were 4 groups of 4 teams.[3]

Four teams were seeded. The three unpromoted semi finalists from the previous years competition together the team relegated from the Senior grade, with one placed in each of the groups. The remaining 12 teams were placed in their groups by way of an open draw.

The top two teams in each group qualified for the Knockout stage Quarter Finals.

The Bottom two teams in each group were to enter the Relegation Playoffs.

The Knockout stages will see eight teams compete. The four Group winners along with the four group runners up. Group winners will be drawn to play against a runner-up.
