The 2019 Sun Belt conference football season will begin on August 29, 2019 and will end on November 30, 2019. It will be part of the 2019 season of the Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS), the top level of NCAA Division I football. The Sun Belt Conference Football Championship Game will be played on December 7, 2019. The entire schedule was released March 1, 2019...[1]

Pervious season[edit]

In 2018 Appalachian State won the East Division with a 7–1 Conference Record. While Louisiana won the West Division with a 5–3 Conference Record. Appalachian State beat Louisiana 30–19 in the first ever Sun Belt Championship Game held at Kid Brewer Stadium in Boone, NC.[2]

The 2019 preseason coaches football poll will be released on July 18. Media Day will be held in Mid to late July

Season[edit]

This will be the second season with 10 teams. And divided in to 2 Divisions. The two division winners will play in the second Sun Belt Conference Championship game on December 7, 2019.

Coaching Changes[edit]

There were four coaching changes in the Sun Belt Football Conference For the 2019 season

On November 18, 2018 Everett Withers was fired at Texas State and was replaced by Jake Spavital On November 28.

On December 4, 2018 Scott Satterfield left Appalachian State to become the head coach at Louisville and was replaced by Eliah Drinkwitz on December 13.

On January 4, 2019 Neal Brown left Troy to become the head coach at West Virginia and was replaced by Chip Lindsey on January 10.

On January 18, 2019 head coach Joe Mogila retired from Coastal Carolina due to health problems and was replaced by Jamey Chadwell that same day.
