The 2021 SIU Edwardsville Cougars men's soccer team will represent Southern Illinois University Edwardsville during the 2021 NCAA Division I men's soccer season, the school's 55th season. The Cougars will be led by third-year head coach Cale Wassermann. The team will play its home games on Bob Guelker Field at the Ralph Korte Stadium as an affiliate member of the Missouri Valley Conference (MVC/The Valley).[1] SIUE will return as an affiliate member of the Missouri Valley Conference, a membership it previously held 2010–2018, after spending the previous four seasons as an affiliate member of the Mid-American Conference (MAC), [2]

Preseason[edit]

Under the COVID-19 protocols, the entire 2020-2021 roster is able to return with no loss of eligibility. Twenty-two student athletes played in the Spring, and five were redshirted.

Coaches[edit]

Cale Wassermann is in his third season as head coach of the Cougars. Daniel Brennan, an Edwardsville native is also in his third season as assistant coach. and assistant Matt Cannady is in hissecondseason with the Cougars.[3]
