The 2021 United States Attorney General elections will be held on November 2, 2021, in 1 state.[1] Virginia is the only state holding an Attorney General election, which most recently had an election in 2017.[2][3]

This election will take place concurrently with numerous state and local elections including gubernatorial elections.

The 2021 Virginia Attorney General election will be held on November 2, 2021, to elect the next Attorney General of Virginia. Incumbent Democratic Incumbent Attorney General Mark Herring is running for a third term.[4][5] Herring initially planned to run for governor, but decided to run for re-election.[6] His primary opponent is Jay Jones, who was endorsed by incumbent Governor Ralph Northam.[7][8]
